Armenia TourInfo being the first and the only color, informative, free tourist magazine in Armenia has been published since 2003 to promote the realization of the very better quality of life and entertainment.
The magazine covers all the aspects of travel and visitors scenario. Due to its widespread network that extends to some other countries as well, Armenia “Tourinfo” magazine always keeps its visitors and readers updated about all upcoming events in the country. 10 Years, 100 Issues & More than 1.000.000 Observers
For more than a decade “TourInfo” magazine has been exploring and revealing the unique nature of Armenia, its breathtaking sights surrounded by unusual cliffs and mountains, where every stone has its own history and rivers their own melody, the historical monuments of cultural heritage, the architectural masterpieces and interesting traditions. However, each issue of “TourInfo” magazine is special by its own as every time it covers something new, extraordinary, interesting, attractive and beautiful at the same time illustrating many cultural events throughout the country such as Pan-Armenian and international great concerts, festivals, conferences. Hence, “TourInfo” can surely become “your reliable friend” in Armenia and it is not by chance that the magazine carries the motto “Armenia in your pocket” – an idea that stands behind the success of Magazine. By its format, volume and variety of subjects “TourInfo” plays a great role in the development of tourism industry as the main source of information for a complete travel.
Certainly, all these achievements are the finest seeds of the thorough management and high professionalism of the magazine’s director Garen Markarian as he essentially assessed the importance of the accessibility of information in Tourism.
Today, the 100th jubilee issue of “TourInfo” magazine has been published, which illustrates the years of its experience, high quality and great demand among travelers and native readers. Moreover, 10 years’ activity in leading colorful publication on Tourism is really a serious experience and an immense achievement. Now it can be proudly announced that “TourInfo” is leading in three points at the same time: as the first free, colorful and informative magazine in Armenia.
As founding director Garen Markarian states, “For the first time We came to Armenia in 2003. We were very interested in the field of publication and having been studied the Armenian market, we understood that the accessibility of travel information in tourism industry needed a new stage of development. It became a stimulus for us to create the first colorful journal for visitors in Armenia.”
This initiative was immediately approved and the realization of it could not be failed as the head of the enterprise was a person with a long experience in the field of publishing. Garen Markarian has been publishing a paper of 150000 daily editions in Tehran for many years. Due to his efforts “Orange Trading” advertising company has been operating in Tehran since 1991 and only in 2003 its branch was opened in Armenia. Afterwards, “TourInfo” magazine’s first issue was published in July, 2003.
According to the monitoring results made among readers, more than 1.000.000 people have read the magazine during 10 years of publication. “It let us think We have achieved our goal. The traveler visiting our country should have the best places to stay, dine and see. So, our main goal is to do everything to make them feel as at home and be sure they are satisfied and happy when leaving. Hence, our job makes us an ambassador of good will for our country. During all these years we have tried to keep the quality and world-class standards”, mentioned Garen Marcarian , “We have been aimed at presenting the best products and companies of Armenia. On this evidence, we should thank our partners” he added.
Suren Vardevanyan, the first editor of Magazine, also had a great contribution to TourInfo Magazine. It is a great happiness for each staff to see “TourInfo” in the hands of visitors and a pleasure to hear them sharing about their impressions and thankfulness. “This is the most pleasant moment”, confesses Garen Markarian, “During all these years we have had many personals who have been trained for the publication in tourism industry. And now We are proud to have created this great family named “TourInfo” when all of us unanimously promise to keep on working hard and with full enthusiasm still for many-many years and that’s only for our dear visitors to always feel happy and wanted in our country”.
THE 90th JUBILEE ISSUE OF ”TOURINFO” 2012
It has been over ten years since Armenia “TourInfo” magazine has been an integral part of us while deserving the attention and approval of different visitor organizations.
The story of “TourInfo” Magazine started from 2003 when Armenia was at the edge of the era of new prospects and acquirements. In the same year “Orange Trading” advertising company was founded in Armenia, which has already been operating in Tehran since 1991 by Garen Markarian. The organization decided to publish “TourInfo” magazine as the first and the most important project in Armenia. It obviously became the best interpretation of Armenian culture, traditions, history while suggesting any information about museums, theatres, concert halls, luxury hotels, restaurants, rest-houses, sightseeing …which could help the visitors to fell in love with Armenia.
The great interest concerning the journal was approved by the huge work and devotion applied to educe the magazine. It has also been proved during the years, when the time and the proposals of the partners prompted new approaches and solutions, by which the magazine becomes more racy and interesting with its each issue.
The distribution of the magazine is operated and organized in details. It is widely petered in “Zvartnots International Airport”, a reliable partner of “Orange Trading,” in the embassies, consular’s, ministries, in great number of hotels, restaurants, information and business centers, and in many other related organizations. It is distributed also in Venice, the USA, Tehran etc.
This year is the jubilee of “TourInfo” as it begins with the publishing of the 90th issue. On this occasion the magazine thanks to all its partners, whose help is very appreciable for the creation and distribution of the magazine, as well as expresses its thankfulness to its readers, for who “TourInfo” is an irreplaceable visitor guide. All these stimulate and make us step forward by realizing new projects and ideas making “TourInfo” much better and more interesting.
